ACWA Council

We have a dedicated team of Christians from across Western Australia who are committed to advancing biblical values in parliament. Their passion and skills strengthen our mission to bring the glory and righteousness of God into the institution of Parliament and help build a better future for Australia.

Our WA State Council

Trevor Bartley ACWA President

Throughout Trevor’s life, he has had the privilege of serving in a range of senior leadership roles and of running a highly successful business. His ministry roles include Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Executive Pastor. He has also served as a denominational director, CEO of Southland Missions, and Psychosocial Recovery Coach, further broadening his leadership experience within the organisational community.

His commitment to organisational health and effective governance is demonstrated by his service on eight boards. Among these, he has served as Chairman on three boards and as Secretary on five. These roles have enabled him to guide and support key decision-making across diverse contexts.

Trevor is passionate about building healthy, thriving organisational communities. As a dedicated minister of God’s Word, he is committed to teaching, training, and equipping others for ministry. This passion has led him to help develop leadership teams and establish ministries in Australia and overseas, contributing to the growth and strength of the wider body.

I look forward to partnering with AC’s leadership team to fulfil God’s plan for our organisation and make an impact in the political sphere across our state and nation.

Jonathan Davis ACWA Vice President

Jonathan is a senior Project Director and Registered Architect with more than twenty years of experience delivering large-scale, complex, multi-disciplinary projects, across various sectors in WA and nationally totalling over $10 billion in construction value. His career spans design leadership, major program delivery, executive advisory, and business management roles, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the technical, commercial, and governance requirements associated with high-value projects.

He is married with two children and is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.  He became involved with the Australian Christians Party because he was concerned by the lack of leadership, integrity and accountability in the Australian political system.  He passionately believes that humility and the wisdom of God is necessary to make truly good decisions that serve the people well and that lay the foundations for a better tomorrow for our families and the generations to come.

Peigi Hinton ACWA Secretary

Peigi Hinton is a seasoned governance, risk and compliance leader with deep experience across community services, training, technology and critical infrastructure.  She has driven major improvements in quality, organisational capability, cyber and operational risk, and regulatory assurance.

Peigi is known for her strategic clarity, decisive leadership and commitment to building systems that genuinely protect and empower communities.  With qualifications spanning training, management, safety and adult education, supported by executive‑level development, she brings sharp analytical insight and a strong ethical compass to AC.  Peigi serves on the ACFED Council with conviction, championing biblical values and bold, Christ‑centred leadership.

Rachel Zhuang ACWA Treasurer

Rachel Zhuang is a National Business Development Manager for a large renewable energy company, where she works across Australia and New Zealand, frequently travelling between Perth and the eastern states.  She brings strong commercial, financial, and strategic experience developed through years of managing complex business relationships in fast-moving international environments.

Prior to returning to Australia, Rachel spent eight years studying and working in Europe, primarily in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.  It was during this time that she had her first personal encounter with Jesus, building on the Christian foundation laid by her family. This experience marked a turning point in her faith journey and life direction.

Over ten years ago, Rachel felt God place a mission on her heart to pray for Australia.  Since then, she has been committed to regular intercessory prayer alongside fellow worship team members, faithfully standing in the gap for the spiritual and moral future of the nation.

Rachel is honoured to serve as an ACWA council member and is deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute as Treasurer.  She believes this is a timely season to step forward in service, steward resources with integrity, and actively support positive change for Australia, guided by Christian values and principles.

Josephine Bartley ACWA Council Member

Josephine has served on five not-for-profit boards while in fulltime ministry for over 25 years.  Together with her husband Trevor, Jo founded Faith Works International in 2010 and co-pastored for ten years, preaching and leading worship and prayer services in the church and in the community.  Jo was invited to lead and organise the Lockyer Valley QLD Council prayer roster for the Mayoral Chambers; and in 2020 was invited to be the main speaker at an open-air event for the Lockyer Valley's Mayoral Christmas Carols with over 2000 in attendance.

Josephine is passionate about living out Isaiah 61:1.  She has served at WA Prison Fellowship for two years and is now training to minister to prison inmates, and their families.  Her first book, Dancing on the Edge was recently released into 4,000 prisons around Australia with a second book to be released in 2026.

Jo was an AC candidate for Kingsley in the 2025 WA state election and intends to stand again, and serves on the ACWA Council and in the AC Prayer Team.

Madeleine Goiran ACWA Council Member

Madeleine is an educator by profession with 40 years of  teaching experience. Her special interests are languages, culture, history, society, and the wise application of Christian principles to all areas of life, including politics.

As a first generation migrant (from France in 1970), Madeleine is grateful for the many opportunities Australia has given her own family.  She wishes that all families thrive in our amazing country.
She holds that while governments have an important role to play, in a democracy, all citizens have the privilege and duty to shape their nation.  Madeleine has been involved in the development of the Australian Christians Party since its early beginnings and has stood as an AC candidate in several WA state elections.

In her current AC role,  Madeleine aims to inspire voters in every district to engage prayerfully, actively, and with discernment in the shaping of our nation.  Proverbs 14: 34 "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."
